Book Fair and Grandparents/Older Friends Morning Tea 2020
Last Friday we held the Scholastic Book Fair and Grandparents Morning Tea in the Lacey Library. We had so many wonderful grandparents, older friends and parents visit our school and enjoy the time with the children.
The day was perfect and this allowed for many visitors to stay and share morning tea. For this to be so successful there are many helpers I need to thank. The cashier ladies, Kerrie Hall, Kirsty Maher, Deborah Donaldson and Eileen Foran. The morning tea parents were very busy also and a big thank you goes to Tara Leighton, Cassie Streatfield, Tina Cassidy, Maree Doyle and Cindy Gomez for making coffees and cups of teas and for making sure there was plenty of food to enjoy. Also thank you to Mel Leah and Tanya McPherson for selling books after school.
The Library Monitors worked hard going to class rooms and bringing children over to their grandparents. Thank you Year 5 Library Monitors for your help.
A special thank you to Mrs Lynne Patmore, our library assistant for her support before the Book Fair and during the day.
Thank you to those children and parents who brought in food for the morning tea. We all appreciated your generosity. We still have a number of platters and plates to be collected from the front office if you are missing an item from the morning tea.
To the staff, I thank you for your support and allowing the interruptions to your classroom during the day. Now a very big thank you to everyone who bought books at the Book Fair. We had very good sales which then gives the school a commission in books. This will be finalised at the end of the week. Hope you all had pleasant time at the Book Fair for 2020.
