Brumbies Visit
This morning our students received a surprise visit from the Brumbies 2020 Grand Final players, Will Miller and Bayley Kuenzle. They spoke briefly with the students and then signed posters for all students – it certainly started the school day with a lot of happiness and there was an excited buzz all through the school from both students and staff. A highlight for everyone was being so close to the incredibly heavy Grand Final trophy!

Open Envelopes
A reminder to all families that, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to host Open Classrooms today as planned. Instead, so that parents can receive a mid-semester update on their child’s learning and ongoing work, students will bring their classroom home to you, with a selection of work samples from across the curriculum to provide a broad snapshot of their learning this term. Samples provided will range from work-in-progress to published-quality standard, so we ask you to take the time to discuss each piece with your child with the understanding that what you are viewing is more than a product in its own right – it represents part of a process. To help place the samples in context, brief descriptions of the learning intentions for each task will be provided. Although this will not be quite the same experience as visiting your child’s classroom to share in their work, we hope that you find this alternative useful and that you and your child enjoy discussing their learning together.
Dutton Street afternoon pick up
Road safety for every child is critically important and of paramount concern. All students being collected after school from the Dutton Street entrance are to be under the supervision of the duty teacher next to the office building. The teacher will send your child to you when your car arrives. If you do park your car on the opposite side of Dutton Street (near the railway line) we request that you cross the road and collect your child from the supervising teacher to ensure their safety crossing the road as it is a busy thoroughfare directly after school.
Happy Holidays
On behalf of Michael and myself we would like to express our sincere thanks to all teachers, students and families for a wonderful and hard-working Term 3. We hope that everyone has a restful and enjoyable holiday break, that all who are travelling return safely home, and that everyone comes back to school refreshed and ready for a strong finish to the school year. Please note that there is no pupil-free day at the start of Term 4 and students return on Monday 12 October in full summer uniform.
May God’s peace be in your families,
Jan Harvey
