Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
Mt Carmel School Extravaganza with Mr Tim
Mr Tim brought high quality performances together in a short period of time with his rich set of skills, humour and energy; our students and staff loved every moment! The Mt Carmel School Extravaganza was a huge success, and we would like to express our thanks to our wonderful Mt Carmel community who supported the performance by attending on the night or watching the live-stream link.

Religious Education in the Classroom
Welcome to Week 10! Year 4’s Religious Education unit examines the life and actions of the Church community and how they are modelled through the life and actions of Jesus. During my visit to 4SS, students explored the connections between the practices of Church communities of today and those of the early Church.
Some interesting insights from the students focusing on what they think mission or ministry mean to them and how they use it in their lives.
Alayla: Mission means to me to love everyone and not be mean.
Molly: Mission is about doing something nice for people just like Jesus did.
Dylan: Jesus taught us to love one another. I will help poor people by giving them food and help my friends.
Xavier: I like everyone because of their personality, not just their looks.

Whilst visiting 4TD, students examined the message of the parable of the Sower and a few students shared their thoughts on how they think Jesus wants them to behave.
Lily: Be yourself and do the right thing.
Conor: To love one another.
Amelie: To make right choices in our lives.
Magnus: To set an example.
Ben: Be more kind and follow God.

Crazy Socks and Favourite Jersey Fundraiser 2023
Today the SRC of Mt Carmel School organised a fundraiser event to raise funds for Catholic Mission. Students were invited to come to school wearing crazy socks and their favourite jersey and a donation of a gold coin.
Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who supported this event to support Catholic Mission.

Prayer
Dear Creator God, create in us a new sense of solidarity with the poor. Give us the courage to reach out to the excluded, the energy to walk with the lost and the words to encourage the lonely. May we pour out our lives in service. Unite us in faith, hope and love as we pray together.
Send your Holy Spirit to inspire and sustain us in our mission.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Venue: Boorowa Showgrounds, Ballyryan Road, Boorowa.
Transportation: By private car.
Cost: $5.00 per student to cover team registration.
There will be a canteen operating at the fields and qualified First Aid trained people will be present during the day. All players will compete in their Mt Carmel sport uniform.

It is an expectation that all Year 2-5 students attend the event. Unfortunately, the carnival clashes with Year 6 camp this year so they will be unable to attend. Teachers have organised students into mixed year level teams according to their preferred sport. Although it is an expectation that students attend, if you know your child will be absent on the day, please let their class teacher know so that they can plan accordingly. We will require referees, scorers and coaches for the day, if you are able to assist, please fill out the Google form below.
